Work
I teach writing, help people shape their stories, and build tools that make room for better work. I also make clothes.

Teaching
I teach professional and creative writing and literature at Lehman College, where I direct the Program for Professional Communications.
I’m interested in what happens when students find language for their experience—and begin to see their own knowledge as something worth sharing.

AI & web development
I work with AI-mediated writing in the classroom and in editorial practice, asking how these tools can support clear thinking, useful feedback, and a voice that still belongs to its writer.
I’ve built student writing intake forms, an editorial workflow for the Anchorage Press, and teaching chatbots that help students reflect and ask questions. The aim is to free more time for the human relationships at the center of the work.

Editorial & collaboration
A practiced editorial eye.
As arts editor of the Red Hook Star-Revue, I grew the section’s coverage and staff and helped build an internship program with CUNY’s Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism.
I’ve ghostwritten two memoirs and co-written another. That work means listening closely, finding the structure inside a life, and helping a story sound like the person who lived it.
I bring that same attention to developmental editing, reported features, and communications work.
Clothes & design
Making something to wear.
“Every style is a means of insisting on something.”
I like to make shirts and shorts. Choosing a fabric, changing a proportion, or getting a seam right gives me a different way to think through color, shape, and pleasure.
I keep coming back to Sontag’s line: what do we insist on through what we wear? Clothes can carry memory, announce a mood, or make a little more room for the person we want to be.
