Writing
I have been writing to entertain and to understand since I was six; on most days, I feel that I’ve improved since then, and I enjoy helping others realize the power of a well-crafted sentence. I currently share what I have learned across creative and professional writing with college students in New York City and social-impact businesses across the U.S.
My long-standing writerly obsessions include friendships across social barriers, art that holds firm to its own incisive vision, and resilience within peculiar circumstances.
My current occupations focus on the political power of art, combating historical erasure, and the impact of AI on the writing process and cultural imagination.
Some of my favorite words/phrases are aperçu, cochineal, hapax legomenon, implacable, and valence.
